Originating in 1994, Land Lords began as an after school and weekend job for an ambitious twelve year old. Toting a push mower, fuel can and weed eater, owner/operator Jeff Rogers provided services in the neighborhood in which he lived. In 2004, Jeff purchased property in a neighboring community known as Boones Creek. A historical site alongside a creek named after Daniel Boone. The barn on the property has been restored and overlooks a small pristine waterfall which inspired the location of this thriving business. Tradition says that Daniel Boone crawled behind the then four-foot high falls on Boones Creek to hide from Indians who were pursuing him. The story says that the Indians, startled by Boone's sudden disappearance, ran away in fear that some supernatural spirit was at work. Two and a half centuries of erosion have since reduced the falls, but creates a beautiful home for Land Lords. To compliment the setting, steps lead to an arbor atop a Belgard patio, which is framed by hanging baskets and surrounded by lush landscaping This peaceful spot, with many picnic tables placed about is perfect for a family cookout, a company picnic or a passerby looking for a peaceful retreat for lunch. The same site, which was once hidden by years of growth and lack of attention has become a favorite site for locals in Boones Creek.
